Luther "Lute" Moran

Luther "Lute" H. Moran, 93 of Frederick passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Glade Valley in Walkersville. He was the loving husband of Shirley Sixma Moran.
Born March 23, 1921 in Parsons, WV he was the son of the late Luther and Nancy Moran.
Luther was a member of All Saints Episcopal in Frederick where he was active with the St. Mary’s Chapter, the Altar Guild and the Over the Hill Gang.
He served in the South Pacific on a PT boat during WWII.
He retired in 1995 from American Lumber Standards as a lumber inspector.
Luther was a member of the American Legion Post 11, the AMVETS and the AARP. He also enjoyed fishing and his many fishing trips to Canada.
A Celebration of Luther’s life will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, December 17th at All Saints Episcopal Church, 106 W. Church St., Frederick with Rev. Earl Mullins and Rev. Jessica Holthus officiating.
