Lula J. Smith, 79, of Frederick, MD formerly of Stephens City, VA died on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at her home.
She was born March 23, 1934 in Stephens City, VA, the daughter of the late Theodore D. Medley, Sr. and Eleanor Addison Medley. She was employed at Winchester Memorial Hospital, Washington County Hospital and retired from JC Penney's in Frederick. She will be greatly missed by her family and her extended family at Creekside at Taskers Chance where she made her home for the last 18 years.
She is survived by a brother, Richard L. Medley, Sr. of Stephens City, VA and a sister Yvonne E. Parson of Greencastle, PA; her three sons Richard C. Medley (Vivian) of Falling Waters, WV, Michael L. Robinson, (Tina) of Winchester, VA and Kairl C. Robinson of Hagerstown, MD; her two daughters Joyce M. Robinson of Middletown, VA and Cheryl A. Biggus of Annapolis, MD; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and a vast number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother Theodore D. "Teddy" Medley and sister Eva V. Foster.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home,1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Monday, March 10, 2014 from 3:30-4PM where a memorial service will begin at 4PM. Bishop Blane Medley will officiate.
Interment will be private.
