Luis Femenia Sr., 56, Hagerstown, MD, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 peacefully in his sleep.
Luis was born June 21, 1961, in Havana, Cuba. In September of 1970 Luis and his family moved to the United States. He grew up in Silver Spring Maryland. He worked for Maryland State Highway Administration for 18 years, Mr Tire for a few years before becoming disabled from heart disease. After becoming disabled in 2012 he spent most of his time enjoying his kids, and grandchildren that he shared a special bond with. He was a momma’s boy and loved his mother dearly. He also loved boating, fishing, and relaxing at the beach. He was a diehard Washington Reskins fan and rooted for them win or lose. HTTR! He enjoyed Nascar and cheering on Jimmie Johnson. Most of all Luis was a selfless and loving man with a big heart and did whatever he could for his kids and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving mom, Francisca Rosa Femenia, one brother, Bill Femenia and significant other Julie Simpson of Margate, FL, one sister, Rosa Kisner and Husband Carl of Spring Mills, WV, former spouse and good friend, Lisa Femenia of Hagerstown, MD, two daughters, Tabitha Beltran and Husband Carlos of Brunswick, MD, Tiffany Thompson and husband Robert Thompson of Sharpsburg, MD, one son Luis Femenia Jr, and wife Jennifer of Greencastle, PA, 4 grandchildren; Keira, Cheyenne, Christian and Julian, and many loving nieces, nephews, and close friends.
He is preceded in death by his dear father Guillermo Antonio Femenia.
Services will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m and 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at The Courtyard by Marriott at 17270 Valley Mall Drive, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
