Lucille L. Weed, 97, of Mt. Airy, passed from this life on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Lorien in Mount Airy, MD.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bruce L. Weed.
Lucille was born on May 5, 1920, in Bergton, VA, she was one of ten children born to the late Samuel Perry Lantz and Ella M. (Moyer) Lantz.
She is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Clarke and her husband, Thomas; sisters, Edith Halterman, Merlin Branson and Wilda Blaine.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 8 East Ridgeville in Mt. Airy, MD. 21771.
The family will also receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00am to 11:00 am at the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren, 4812A Green Valley Road Monrovia, MD. A celebration of Lucille's life journey will follow at 11:00am. Pastors Leo and Melissa Barnes will officiate. A reception will immediate follow the service. Interment will be at Forest Oak Cemetery in Gaithersburg, MD.
Memorial donations may be made to the Women's Fellowship Bush Creek Church of the Brethren, 4821A Green Valley Road, Monrovia, MD which was a group of women Lucille loved and worked with for many years.
