Mr. Lucien J. Moret, Jr. 90 of Frederick, MD passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Homewood at Crumland Farms. He was the husband of Catherine Moret, his wife of 64 years.
Born August 10, 1920 in New Orleans, LA he was the son of the late Lucien Moret, Sr. and Lillian Cassard Moret.
Mr. Moret attended St. Johns Roman Catholic Church.
He served in the United States Marine Corp during World War II where he received the Purple Heart Medal. He also enjoyed golfing.
In addition to his loving wife, Catherine he is survived by two daughters, Sharon Hopson and husband James of Annandale, Virginia and Marie Moret and husband John Motta of Frederick, his son, Lucien Moret III of Churchton ,MD four grandchildren, Joseph Hopson, Elizabeth Hopson, Joshua Moret and Jared Moret, 1 great grandchild Addison Hopson and two brothers, Vernon Moret of Louisiana and Cassard Moret of Tennessee.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Sunday, August 22 from 2:00-4:00PM.
A Mass will be held at the Fort Meyer Chapel on Tuesday, November 30
th
at 8:45 AM those attending should meet at the chapel by 8:15 AM.
Interment with full military honors will follow the service at Arlington National Cemetery.
