Lucas Steven Holzberger, infant son of Brian and Alexis (Degen) Holzberger of Hagerstown, Maryland, became one of the Lord's precious angels on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, while surrounded by his loving family at the Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Lucas was born on March 26, 2014 in Washington, D.C., and in addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Brooke Holzberger and his brother, Landon Holzberger, both of Hagerstown; his maternal grandparents, Steve and Kim Degen of Damascus, Maryland; his paternal grandparents, Pete and Diane Holzberger, of Hagerstown; his maternal great-grandparents, William and Linda Rowe of Derwood, Maryland, Sonny and Ella McWilliams of Wheaton, Maryland, and Jackie Degen of Ocala, Florida; his maternal great-great grandmother, Virginia Bowers of Franklin, West Virginia; and his paternal great-grandmother, Margaret Hood of Hagerstown; his aunt Ashley Bartlett and her husband, Justin, of Ijamsville, Maryland, his uncle Paul Holzberger and his wife, Stacie, of Harrisonburg, Virginia, and his uncle Tom Holzberger and his wife, Holly, of Frederick, Maryland. Lucas is also survived by his cousins, Mackenzie, Kylah, and Brinklee Bartlett, Kara Baker, Maggie, Allie, Sophie, Angelina, and Nick Holzberger.
A memorial service for Baby Lucas will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland. Pastor Elizabeth LeMaster will officiate.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday.
