Lt. Colonel(USAR) Howard Flook, Sr.

Lt. Colonel, (U.S. Air Force) Howard O. Flook, Sr., 76 of Frederick, Maryland passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Dolly L. Ingraham Flook.

Born December 10, 1933 in Burkettsville, Maryland he was the son of Agatha Alexander Flook Lantz of Frederick and the late Howard O. Flook, Sr.

Howard was a graduate of Charlotte Hall Military Academy. Lt. Col. Flook served his Country in the U.S. Air Force retiring from active duty in 1970. After leaving the Military he worked as a pilot for Southwest Airlines retiring in 1993. He was a member of Holly Hills Country Club, the Historical Society of Frederick County, the Elks Club and numerous other organizations in the Frederick County Area.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children John S. Flook of Sacramento, CA, Howard O. Flook, III and wife Diane of Flagstaff, AZ, Mark A. Flook of Kennesaw, GA and Mollis A. Richardson of Webster, TX, 14 grandchildren and a great granddaughter, his sister Jett Lorraine Pearce of Randallstown, MD and a step-brother Clarence W. Lantz, Jr of Middletown. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by a daughter Catherine C. Flook, a son Paul M. Flook and a sister Melissa Flook.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Sunday, August 8, from 2 - 4 and 7 -9 p.m., where services will be held Monday, August 9, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Manthey officiating.
