Mr. Lowell Willis, 65 of Frederick, MD passed away on Friday, August 27, 2010 at the Kline Hospice House after a short term illness.
Born March 30, 1945 he was the son of the late Harvey Willis and Mabel Weedon.
He was the youngest of four children of which his sister Bernice Delauter preceded him in death.
He attended Lincoln High School and was an active member if the South End Coalition.
Lowell was employed for 34 years at the Department of Juvenile Services at the Cheltenham Youth Facility.
To cherish his memories he leaves behind his wife, Inje Willis, his daughters, Angie Davis, Cassandra Willis and Kayla Willis, step-son, Darrin Naylor, two grandsons, Ricky Bowie and Josea Davis and one great grandchild, a sister, Ann Smith and a brother-in-law, Wayne Palmer, a brother, Robert Willis, an aunt, Edith Thompson and two sister-in-laws, Jody and Sylvia Naylor, two sister-in-laws, Jody and Sylvia Naylor, two brother-in-laws, James and Anthony Naylor and numerous nieces and nephews.
He also leaves behind two devoted friends Mr. & Mrs. Howard Stewart.
Lowell will truly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 10-11AM at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 101 West All Saints Street, Frederick.
Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 AM with Bishop
Interment will be Fairview Cemetery.
