Louise Zimmerman

August 7, 1921 — March 30, 2012

Louise A. Zimmerman, 90, a long time resident of Walkersville, Md. passed away on March 30, 2012 at the Record Street Home in Frederick, Md. where she received exceptional service during seven years of residency.
Born on August 7, 1921, Louise was the daughter of the late Foster and Gail Warrenfeltz. Her husband, Walter L. Zimmerman predeceased her in 1978.
During her younger years, Louise lived with the Charles Eaves Family on their farm and with Harry & Eleanor Filler on their farm. After marriage in 1941, she worked at Price Electric Co. She became a full time Mother and homemaker in 1947 to raise their children. In 1967, Louise and Walter purchased Aunt Lucy Hams, Inc. and remained involved until 1987 when the business was sold.
Louise became a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) upon the formation of the Walkersville Community Ambulance Co. and she also volunteered for many years at the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Co. Bake Tables.
Louise enjoyed being a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Walkersville, the
Rainbow Belles, and the Birthday Club.
She is survived by her two sons and daughter, Vaughn Zimmerman of Walkersville, Thomas & Deborah Zimmerman of Waynesboro, Pa. and Bonnie & David Ogg of Jefferson. She is a proud Grandmother of six Grandchildren, Shelley Mezan, Alan Zimmerman, Chad Zimmerman, Daniel Ogg, Karen Ogg, and Douglas Ogg. She was blessed with nine Great Grandchildren, Alisun Zimmerman, Delaney Mezan, Hailey Ogg, Jackson Mezan, Mia Ogg, Kiersten Zimmerman,
Leah Ogg, Kaden Zimmerman, and Jenna Ogg. She is also survived by two brothers, Paul Warrenfeltz and Eugene Warrenfeltz as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Louise and her family were very appreciative of her care and friendship by all the dedicated staff and residents of the Record Street Home.
Visitation will be held at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue in Walkersville, Md. on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 4,  at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home by her Pastor Mark Fouchart.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Record Street Home or the charity of your choice.
