Louise Ruble

Louise Arlene (Rykhus) Ruble, 88, died on April 11, 2018 in Frederick, Maryland. She was married to the Reverend Robert Blair Ruble for 48 years, until his death in 1999.

Born in Dovray, Minnesota on May 27, 1929, Louise was the daughter of Peter Rykhus and Olga M. (Hager) Rykhus. She graduated from Glenwood High School, Glenwood, Minnesota, where she was Homecoming Queen.

Louise loved her family, her friends, gardening, and animals, especially cats. The family thanks the Vindobona Nursing Center for their excellent care of Louise late in her life. Louise will be especially missed by the "Golden Girls" Pat and Susan at Vindobona.

She is survived by two children, Alicia M. Ruble of Washington, DC, and Matthew B. Ruble of Frederick, Maryland, and by daughter-in-law Susan F. Puhala. A third child, Daniel F. Ruble, died in 1990. She is also survived by her sister Judith Knudson and brother-in-law Dean Knudson, of Westbrook, Minnesota, her beloved granddaughters Madeline Ruble and Grace Ruble, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment will be private. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Frederick at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2018, with a reception immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Love, Care & Concern Fund, Vindobona Nursing Center, 6012 Jefferson Blvd. Frederick, MD 21703; or to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1415 West 7th Street, Frederick, MD 21702.
