Mrs. Louisa E. Coale, 77, of Adamstown died Friday, February 9, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Charles Coale, Jr., who predeceased her on February 29, 2004. They were married for 46 years at the time of his death.
Born March 16, 1940 in Whitehall, MD, she was the daughter of the late William Oliver and Esther May (Laird) Slaymaker.
Louisa was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family.
She also enjoyed gardening, canning, and crocheting. She loved to make crafts and do puzzles.
She is survived by her son, Charles W. "Skip" Coale, III of Adamstown; five daughters, Mary Coale of Adamstown; Shari Kraemer and husband, Jack of Tullahoma, TN; Ann Pitre and husband, Mark, of Soddy Daisy, TN; Melissa Shrader and husband, Tony, of Mt. Airy; and Kim Arnold and husband, Andy, of Brunswick; eight grandchildren, Shannon Lawrence; Tina Dix and husband, Jason; Lara and Christy Kraemer; Mark Pitre and wife, Malaina; Kaitlin Leech and husband, Stephen; Katarina Herron, and husband, Robert; and Logan Shrader; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Rose Wertz; and a brother, George Slaymaker.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Tommy Lawrence, Jr; seven sisters; and two brothers.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Ave., Brunswick. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 15 from the funeral home with Rev. Tim May officiating.
Interment will follow in Manor Reformed Cemetery.
