Louis Zammichieli

Louis Bartolo John Zammichieli, 75, of Frederick, Maryland, died Friday, April 3, 2015 at Kline Hospice House, Mt. Airy, MD.
Born January 6, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Marcello Zammichieli and Maria Martini Zammichieli.  For 53 years, he was the husband of Mary E. Zammichieli.
Lou was a graduate of St. Anthony’s Catholic High School, Washington, D.C., Class of 1958.
For many years, along with his brother, he co-owned The Redskins Barber Shop.  After 27 years of service, Lou retired from Giant Food as a meat manager.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Maria E. Zammichieli and husband, Jeff Braun and son, Louis N. Zammichieli, all of Frederick; sister, M. Gloria Zammichieli Carrico of Clarksburg; and two grand-dogs, Rosemary and Ancho.  He will also be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Oswaldo and Mario Zammichieli.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
A celebration of Lou’s life will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, April 9 at Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick, with Rev. Michael Jones officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
