Lottie Lorraine Lewis (Lil-Lottie) was born in Champaign, Illinois March 17, 1955 and departed this life after many months of being ill on Saturday October 5, 2019, at Frederick Memorial Hospital (FMH), Frederick, Md.
Lottie was preceded in death by her grandparents Jasper and Lottie Lewis, her great Aunts Eleanora Davis, Ruthie Mae Stevenson and Aunt Rosalind Johnson Lewis; as well as a cousin Ernest Stevenson.
Lottie is survived by her mother Gloria Lewis White and Clem Pierce (Father) of Alburquerque, NM one and only daughter Brandi Ariana Mills, Hagerstown, Md (father Todd Mills) of Richmond, VA; four sisters Judith M. Boyd, Tulsa, OK, Vickie V. Lewis, Atlanta, GA; Gwendolyn D. Fobbs, Fallings Waters, WV, Karen R. White-Hacen, Frederick, Md; one brother Kenneth R. White, Honolulu, HI.
Lottie also is survived by her Aunt Betty J. Hassell, (Uncle Charles Hassell), Champaign, IL; Uncle Joe Lewis (Carol Lewis), Champaign, IL; Uncle Walter Ray Lewis (Barbara Lewis), Denver, CO; Uncle Robert Lewis of Urbana, IL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Lottie was educated in both Champaign-Urbana, IL and Frederick, MD. Lottie was employed as a pre-school teacher in Frederick, MD; she also worked at Frederick Memorial Hospital as a Home Care nurse.
Lottie’s passion in life was enjoying her nieces and nephews; teaching them and playing games with them. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing. Her most enjoyable times were with her nieces Nikia, Aubre; Kyraa and nephew Wayne.
She adored her only child, taking pictures of her, taking her to various parks. She adored her daughter Brandi dearly.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday October 12, 2019 at 2:30pm at the
Stauffer Funeral Home
