Lorraine Ruetten

Mrs. Lorraine Ruetten 82, of Frederick, MD passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late John “Jack” Ruetten.
Born November 25, 1928 in Buffalo, NY she was the daughter of the late Bruno and Agnes Lewandowski.
Mrs. Ruetten worked as a Supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service where she retired after 20 years. Lorraine was a former President and Treasurer of the Lady Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Association, Branch 142. She enjoyed music and singing. Lorraine also loved baking and decorating cakes. She used to enjoy going out to dinner with her husband John “Jack” and celebrating one of her favorite holidays, Christmas, with her family.
Surviving are her four sons William, Timothy, Scott and Bart; grandchildren William, Kelsey, Mary, Weylin, Ariana, Cori, Sean and Erin and her two sisters Irene and Mary.
She is preceded in death by her son John Ruetten.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont, MD, Thursday, July 21 from 7-9PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 22 at 11:00 AM from Our Lady Carmel Catholic Church, Thurmont, MD with Father John Lesnick as the celebrant.
Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
