Lori Morris

Lori Morris, 38, of Mt. Airy, MD, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August, 17th 2015.  Lori grew up in Littleton, CO and graduated from Colorado State University with her degree in Interior Design and Construction Management.

Lori was married to Dirk Morris on July 21st, 2001 and had two beautiful children, Carley (10 yrs old) and Cooper (6 yrs old).  They resided in Colorado until February of 2011, at which time they moved to Mount Airy, MD.

Lori was very active in her short life.  She was a stay-at-home mom, a Premier Designs Jeweler, an Interior Designer, and Nerium International consultant.  Lori has been the PTO President for the last two years at Parrs Ridge Elementary and Mount Airy Elementary School.

Lori was a devoted mother, wife, and a cherished daughter and granddaughter.  She is survived by her husband, Dirk; children, Carley and Cooper; parents, Robert and Sherry Fritz; in-laws, Wayne and Joyce Morris; one sister, Kelly (Zack) Peecher and their children, Halley and Anna Peecher; brothers-in-law, Scot (Kelly) Morris and their children, Andrew, AJ and Kris (Janine Formenti) Morris.

A celebration of Lori’s life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Calvary United Methodist Church in Mt. Airy.  Rev. Dr. Steve Larsen will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, August 21st at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Boulevard in Mt. Airy.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to a scholarship fund for Carley and Cooper, her children, in care of Calvary United Methodist Church, 403 S. Main Street, Mt. Airy, Maryland  21771.
