Mrs. Lorene Morgan Williamson, 80 of Frederick, Maryland went home to be with the lord on July 7, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was a devoted mother and member of Victory Baptist Church in Frederick.
Born on January 16, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Jonnie and Ellenora Morgan. Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Floye Jordan, Margaret and husband Frank Powell, brothers Ronnie and W.A. Morgan.
Lorene graduated from Coolidge High School in 1952, Coolidge, Georgia. In 1953 she relocated to the Washington, D.C. area where she worked for the FBI until she was married and started raise a family of three boys. Later she worked for the National Geographic Society as a supervisor and retired in March 1994. Lorene loved to cook and has won several blue ribbons from the Frederick Fair for her fudge and peanut brittle. However, she is best known for her banana pudding which is always requested at her church functions.
Lorene leaves behind “her three boys” and their families to carry on the values that she has guided them through life with. Roger and wife Edie Williamson, Jeff and wife Leslie Williamson, and Randy Williamson. Grand children include: Kim and husband Tommy Arnold, Jennifer Auge, Phillip and wife Carol Williamson, Gene and Stephanie Paffrath, Sam Williamson, Bobby Williamson, Randall “Chip” Williamson, Ryan and wife Kat Williamson, Peggy and husband Keith Nicholson and Kristene Lattin. Great grandchildren include: Alissa and Jacob Arnold, Evan and Kendall Auge, Madeline and Teddy Williamson, Haley and Tyler Nicholson, Nathen, Vince, Aubry, Ryleiah Williamson, Reagan and Gavin Williamson and Tapanga Lattin.
Lorene also leaves behind her brother Glen and wife Sharon Morgan, as well as, many nieces and nephews and friends.
The family will receive family and friends on Friday July 11, 2014 from 4-7:00 pm at Stauffer Funeral Home 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland 21702. The funeral service will be held on Saturday July 12 at 10:00 am at the Funeral home. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
