Loleta Mae Cunningham Potter, 87, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 14, 1930, in Downsville, Maryland, she was the daughter of late Robert E. and Rosie R. Cunningham. She and her husband, J. Sherman Potter, were married nearly 51 years.

She attended Boonsboro Schools. She retired from London Fog.

Loleta was a member of the Brownsville Church of the Brethren.

In addition to her husband she is survived by daughter, Roxie (Donald) Kelbaugh of Hagerstown; sons, Charles (Cheryl) Reeder, Jr., of Boonsboro and son, Michael (Nancy) Reeder of Williamsport; four grandchildren, Shawn, Michelle, Buffy and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Brenna, Brandon, Chaz and Jayden.

Loleta was preceded in death by four sisters, Shirley, Rebecca, Jane and June; three brothers, Roger, William and Robert; and one great-grandson, Devon.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro, Maryland.

Loleta's life journey will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the funeral home. Rev. Alan Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
