Mrs. Lois Mae Mitzi Johnson, 65, a longtime resident of Frederick, went to be with the Lord peacefully late on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, at Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. A breast cancer survivor, she was under care for Leukemia.
Born September 25, 1941, in Takoma Park, MD, she was the daughter of the late William A. Morrison Sr. and Margaret L. (Brown) Morrison.
She lived in Bethesda, MD until her marriage in 1963.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 43 years Thomas G. Johnson.
She is also survived by one daughter Deborah K. Guettler and husband Greg of Ijamsville, MD and one son Andrew T. Johnson of Chambersburg, PA. Two beloved granddaughters Kaitlyn and Amanda Guettler also survive.
Surviving in addition are two brothers, William A. Morrison Jr. and wife Sharon of Dickerson, MD and Robert A. Morrison and wife Patricia of Frederick, MD and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother James W. Morrison II.
Lois Mitzi was a 1959 graduate of Walter Johnson High School, Bethesda, MD She was employed in Personnel Management at the Naval Ship Research and Development Center (David Taylor Model Basin) where she met her husband. She was later employed by the National Institute of Health.
She truly earned an advanced Degree in Domestic Engineering devoting her time to raising two children, church and community activities, assisting with Brownies, Cub Scouts, Little League Baseball and caring for her parents and mother-in-law.
She enjoyed Square Dancing, singing in the church choir and vacationing with her entire family. She loved country and gospel music. She was an avid Washington Redskins football fan.
In later years she enjoyed spending time with and being MeMa to her granddaughters, whom she loved dearly. She and her husband took many special trips through the Eastern United States.

Friends may call at the Stauffer Funeral Home 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick MD on Monday, December 4, 2006 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services: Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick MD. Interment will be held immediately following the service at Resthaven Memorial Gardens 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy. (Rt. 15-North) Frederick MD.
