Lockie Poole

Mrs. Lockie Mae Poole, 87 of Germantown, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017, at Lorien Nursing Home in Mt. Airy Md. She was the loving wife of the late Bordy Poole Jr. who passed in May of 1982.
Born on March 11, 1930, in Troutville, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Lillie May Urps McVay.
Surviving are her loving children: Mary Poole and husband George, Robert Poole and wife GA, Peggy Poole, Debbie Auldridge, Martha Moore and husband Robbie and Dan Poole and Donald Poole ; eight loving grandchildren, two great grandchildren as well as numerous step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter: Bertha Mae Poole in 2006 and Granddaughter Beth Poole in 1979.
The family would like to extend a special thanks from the bottom of their heart, to the entire staff of Lorien Nursing Home in Mt. Airy Md. for the special care they gave to their Mom.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Monday, June 19, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy Md. where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 20, with Rev. Tim Bonner of the Georgia Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Interment will take place in Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville.
