Mr. Lloyd E. Ramey, 67 of Frederick, Maryland passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 14th, 2014.
Born on February 12th, 1947 in Ashland, Kentucky, he is the beloved son of the late Lloyd Elden Ramey and Alma Marjorie Bowling of Ashland, Kentucky.
Lloyd was a 1965 graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School and later went on to join the United States Marine Corp where he was promoted to Sergeant before being honorably discharged in 1969. He is also a graduate of Frederick Community College where he earned his Associates Degree in Business. Lloyd loved people and was a very kind and generous man who enjoyed nothing more in life than to help others, which did throughout his entire life. In addition to helping others, he also enjoyed the nature and was member of the Maryland Realtors Association and American Legion.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancé and life partner of twenty-six years, Ms. Diane M. Burns, her two children Julia L. Burns and the late Jennifer M. Burns-Barfield, her grandchildren Dalton A. Barfield, Alexis M. Barfield and Brenna M. Day as well as his sisters Carol Redden and Donna Mormon, cousin Gary Bowling and his wife Carolyn, and his Aunt Ruby Hensley all of Kentucky. Lloyd will also be fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and business associates.
A memorial service will be held at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick at 2:00pm Sunday, December 21st, 2014 where he will receive military honors. Rev. Tim May will officiate.
