Mrs. Lisa Marlene Eppard, 60, of Frederick, MD passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Stephen J. Eppard for nearly 18 years.
Born January 27, 1956 in Los Angeles, CA she was the daughter of the late Harold and Moneta Leiper Asher.
Lisa spent the majority of her professional career as a pension consultant, most recently at Coastal Pension Services in Columbia, MD. She is a graduate of George Mason University in Virginia. Lisa had a strong relationship with her church, Brook Hill UMC in Frederick, where she was heavily involved with the Nicaraguan ministries and internal committees. She loved bird-watching and the outdoors. She was a life-long fan of the Baltimore Orioles.
Lisa had a strong belief in serving the needy and the importance of using her God-given gifts to give back to the less fortunate. Being a foster-parent was a central part of her life.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Matthew Anderson, of Manassas, VA; Crystal Krieman, of Dillsburg, PA; Ariel Eppard, of Frederick, MD; Casey Eppard, of Charlottesville, VA; and Mauricio Eppard, of Frederick, MD. She is also survived by her brothers, Martin Asher, of West Chester, PA; Leslie Asher, of Vallejo, CA; and cousin Sheilah Levin Horowitz, of Van Nuys, CA.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 1:00PM at Brook Hill United Methodist Church, 8946 Indian Springs Rd., Frederick, MD. Pastor Dana Werts will officiate, along with Pastor Gary Hicks.
Interment will be private.
