Lisa Jane Abell, 54, of Woodsboro, died unexpectedly on Monday, December 4, 2017.
Born February 18, 1963 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Monroe H. and Julia G. (Gamble) Dixon.
Lisa was previously employed with Giant Foods for over 25 years.
She loved gardening, painting, and crafts.
She is survived by her son, Charles Abell of Shepherdstown, WV; sister, Linda Snyder and husband, Doug, of Fairplay, MD; nephew, Jimmy Peyton and wife, Kristy, and their son, Jordan; nephew, Wayne "Johnny" Peyton and wife, Jennifer, and their daughters, Alexis Barnes and Julia Peyton; nephew, Brian Snyder and his son, Dane Marshall; nephew, Andrew Dixon and his wife, Nikki, and their daughter, Lily; niece, Jennifer Sherry and husband, Scott, and their children, Abagail, Cameron, Braydon, and Jacqueline; nephew, James Dixon; and nieces, Levi Dixon and Tori Dixon.
In addition to her parents, Lisa was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas Dixon and Jimmy Dixon.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD.
Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 9 from the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be private.
