Lionel Lee Moser, Sr. 50, of Smithsburg, MD passed away in a tragic accident on Friday, August 11, 2017.
He was born in Hagerstown, MD on December 4, 1966 to parents Leon and Mary (Hutzell) Moser.
He was a graduate of Boonsboro High School, Class of 1984. He was employed at Lightning Transportation in Hagerstown, MD.
Lionel had his dream jobs of Moser's Custom Farming and owning his own over the road semi-tractor. He also loved his snowmobiling trips and fishing in Ocean City.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two sons, Lionel Lee Moser, Jr. and Evan Daniel Moser; fiancé Kathy Ausherman and two step children, Kari and Daniel Ausherman; sister Tammy Beachley and husband, W. Scott Beachley; niece Audreyona Beachley and friend Jonathan Leatherman; the mother of his sons Melissa Kamsch-Reinhart; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Lionel is preceded in death by his grandparents Ella Mae Hutzell and Leon Hutzell, Edith (Babington) Moser and Calvin Moser, and special cousin and uncle Darrell and Denny Moser.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, with a memorial service to begin at 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
