Linda Welty

Mrs. Linda I. Welty, 61, of New Market, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, February 14, 2014. Born August 25, 1952 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth L. Gissel and Carl J. Morders. She is survived by her husband of 5 years, Keith L. Welty; two children, Christy Schinella and husband Jamie of New Market, MD, and Vincent Chirichella and wife Jeanine of Morrisville, N.C.; first husband and father to Christy and Vincent, Jerry Chirichella of N.C., twin sister, Terry Slavens of Hyattsville, MD; brother Michael and wife Suzy Morders of Frederick, MD; six grandchildren, Payton and Jacob Zudal, and Aubrey, Riley, Shelby, and Kelsey Chirichella. two step-daughters, Keria Gibson and Samantha Whiting, both of Hagerstown, MD; Mother and father-in-law, Bonnie and James Welty of Knoxville, MD; Sister-in-law, Karin and husband Robert Lind of Woodsboro, MD; numerous Nieces and Nephews. Linda was a loving woman, devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was a hardworking devoted Health Care Management Professional for Avesis, where she had many friends. Linda loved her family and had a passion for vacationing in the Outer Banks of N.C. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
