Ms. Linda Susan Ward, 47, of Woodbine, died unexpectedly Friday, December 7, 2012 at her home.
Born October 23,1965 in Fort Meade, she was the daughter of the late Robert T. and Anna Mae Casey Griffith.
Although Linda had a great passion and love for all animals, the ultimate love of her life was her 16-year-old son, Jeffrey.
She was baptized a Catholic.
In addition to her son, Jeffrey Ward of Woodbine, she is survived by nine siblings, Ted Griffith, Patrick Griffith, Michael Griffith, James Griffith, Jo Ann Griffith, Connie Wagener, Barbara Tietz, Thomas Griffith, and Ron Griffith; and her step-mother, Joanne Griffith of Glen Burnie.
Linda also will be remembered by her former husband and Jeffrey's father, Jeff Ward of Woodbine.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, and a brother, Andrew Griffith.
A celebration of Linda's life will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 14 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of services. Officiating will be the Rev. Tim May.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Maryland SPCA, 3300 Falls Road, Baltimore, MD 21211, in honor of Linda's love for animals.
