Linda Smith

Linda Smith, 54, of Brunswick, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown.  She was the wife of Samuel Smith, III.  Born on May 10, 1963, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Jack Bontz and Margaret  (Ralsten) Bontz.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker, a job she took great pride in.  She raised her own 3 children, as well as other children who were in need of a home. Throughout her lifetime she took many children in under her care. She was known for her large heart and compassion for others. She loved cooking, crafts, knick knacks and gardening.  Linda appreciated the outdoors and the scenery and would photograph the sights she came across.
She had a love for animals like no other, and would never say no to an animal in need. She took in multiple rescues of many species including but not limited to cats, dogs, and birds which were her favorite.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Samuel Smith, IV and his girlfriend Destiny; daughters Kimberly Smith and Katie Smith as well as a grandson, Samuel Smith, V.  Linda is also survived by siblings Frank Bontz, Karl Bontz and wife Lori and Susan Thomas and husband Rick.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 14 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Avenue, Brunswick.  A celebration of Linda's life journey will take place immediately following visiting hours at 3:00 PM.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
