Linda Mitchell

Mrs. Linda Lou Mitchell, 69, of Ijamsville, passed from this life on Saturday, May 12, 2018. She was the wife of the late Don Curtis Mitchell.
Born on March 7, 1949 at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Marshall Elwood and Elizabeth Grace Grow Coleman.
Linda was a 1967 graduate of Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville.
She was a Product Manager with Arrow / Schweber Electronics , where she worked for 35+ years, also for Kramer Electronics and Hewlett-Packard earlier in her career.
Linda enjoyed camping in her RV, and owned several street rods and classic cars through the years which she enjoyed taking to car shows, especially Cruisin’ Ocean City with her husband Don and her street rod buddies.
She enjoyed activities and good times at the Moose Lodge where she was an active member.
Surviving are her aunt Margaret Penn of Mount Airy age 101, her sister Audrey Thews and brother-in-law Richard Thews of Germantown, nephew Dean Thews and wife Tina of Libertytown, nephew Steven Thews and wife Lisa of Hagerstown, niece Dana Witt and husband Larry of New Market, MD. Stepdaughter, Dayna Kasten and husband Eddie Kasten , along with 2 step grandsons Tyler and Ryan Kasten of Vero Beach Florida. She also had several great nieces Casslyn Moore, Robyn Witt, Olivia Thews, Kristin Thews, and great nephews Bryan Thews, Matthew Thews, Brady Thews and Marshall Thews, along with many special friends that loved her.
She is predeceased in Death by her husband Don C. Mitchell, parents Marshall E. Coleman and Elizabeth G. Coleman as well as her beloved doggies Peppy, Snoopy, Dusty, Sandy, Buffy and cat Tigger.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 PM on June 23 at the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren, 4821-A Green Valley Road, Monrovia, MD 21770. A reception to follow from 2-5 PM at the Frederick Moose Lodge, 828 E Patrick St, Frederick, MD 21701.
