Linda Lee Harris

Linda Lee Harris, 89, Frederick, MD, has gone home to be with the Lord on January 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. 

Born on August 2, 1935 in Legore, MD, she was the daughter of Paul Ventil and Kathleen Isabelle Bowers.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her sisters Beverly Bell, Rose Hines and Isabelle Hostler. 

Linda is survived by her children and their spouses, Susie Crum (Jimmy) of Walkersville, Sandy Wood (Kyle) of Hagerstown and Ryan Harris of Waynesboro. She is also survived by her sister Vicky Wachter (Charles) of Lewistown. 

Linda was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren: Donnie Schildt (Kelly) of Thurmont, Angie Albaugh (Kevin) of Rocky Ridge, Mike Flanary of Libertytown, Marissa Barnett (Mike) of Central City, PA and Thomas Harris; great-grandchildren: Tyler New, Devin Murphy, Kayla Flanary, Robert Albaugh, Gracie Flanary, Kaitlyn Schildt, Adelaide Flanary, Ella Flanary, Pricella Flanary, Hudson Flanary and Luna Barnett and one great-great grandson, Lane Renfro.

Linda worked at Walkersville Lanes for over 50 years retiring at the age 86. She also worked in her early life in Woodsboro at Shriners Sewing Factory, the Hut Tavern and Ducky and Elsies Restaurant.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM on Sunday, January 19, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville where funeral services will bel held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 20, with Pastor Chad Weddle officiating. Interment will be Mount Hope Cemetery in Woodsboro, MD following the service.
