Linda Faye (Olden) Crummitt

Linda Faye (Olden) Crummitt, of Middletown, Maryland, passed from this life on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Frederick Health Hospital, surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth Crummitt for 54 years, whom she married on June 21, 1969.
 
Born on March 3, 1950, in Frederick, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Eileen (Travis) Olden.

Linda was a member of the Locust Valley First Church of God.  She attended Zion Lutheran Church of Middletown.
 
Linda was a loving and devoted wife and mother.  When first married, Linda was a nursing assistant at Vindobona Nursing Home.  After her children were in middle school, she worked at Weis and Martins grocery stores.  But her most honored job was being Nanny to her grandchildren, Wyatt Crummitt and Faye Ely.
 
In addition to her husband and grandchildren, she is survived by son Kenneth Wayne Crummitt II and wife, Jenny, and daughter Heather Crummitt and husband Jack Ely, brother-in-laws: S. William Crummitt, Kieffer Crummitt and wife Deborah, and David Crummitt.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sisters: Caroleen Warfield, Lorraine Byrd and brother-in-law Donald Leo Byrd, Janie Blair and brother-in-law Aden Blair, and infant sister Margaret Olden.  She was also preceded in death by her in-laws Stanley and Hattie Ethlyne Crummitt. 
 
The family will receive friends from  11:00am - 12:00pm on Thursday, April 25, 2024,  at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro, Maryland, where a  celebration of Linda's life journey will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home.  Pastor Day of Zion Lutheran will officiate. 
 
Interment will be private.
 
Flowers may be sent or memorial donations may be made to the American Stroke Association or the Susan G. Komen Organization.  

The family would like to thank Right at Home of Frederick for their dedicated caregivers that assisted Linda and the family while she was at home, and the care of Frederick Health Hospital ICU staff during her last week.
