Linda Carol Blair, age 69 of Frederick, MD died peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Edenton Retirement Community. Born September 6, 1944 in Pound, VA She was the daughter of Edward Blair, Jr and Ruth Powers Blair.
She successfully operated Monahan Electronics, Inc. in Gaithersburg, MD for more than twenty years alongside her former husband Gary T. Monahan, Sr.
Linda's favorite activity was entertaining her family and friends at her homes in Frederick, at the beach and in the mountains. She spread joy wherever she went and found no greater pleasure than spending happy, laughter filled days with her loved ones.
She is survived by her daughter Christine Ryan and son in law Mark of Frederick, Son Lt. Col. James R Albano and daughter in law Valerie of El Paso, TX and son Gary "Monty" Monahan, Jr of Bedford, PA, Grandchildren Branden Ryan, Alex Ryan and wife Amber, JT Albano, John Albano, Alivia Lins and great granddaughter Emmerlin Ryan. She is also survived by her sister Wilma Edwards, her brother Alan Blair, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Boyer.
Linda's family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff and volunteers of Garden House at Edenton for their warm and loving care over the past four years.
The family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Sunday, August 24th from 2-4 where services will be held Monday, August 25th at 2:00 with Rev. Tim May officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Patty Pollatos Fund, Inc, New Market, MD.
