Lillian Frances (Hennage) Strouse, 97, of Mapleville Road, Boonsboro, Maryland, died peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2009 at the Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village in Boonsboro.
Born on March 12, 1912 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Minnie B. (Collins) Hennage.
Mrs. Strouse was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Addision Strouse.
Lillian attended the First Baptist Church of Wheaton, Maryland and had been an employee with the Montgomery County Public Schools.
She is survived by three daughters, Gail F. and her husband Richard Dias of Fullerton, California, Jeanette E. and her husband Roger Holmes of Florence, South Carolina, and Kathleen J. and her husband Bill Dennis of Middletown, Maryland; and one son Allen A. Strouse and his wife Beverly of Poolesville, Maryland. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Strouse was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Donald Dias and Tracey Dennis Davis; one great-granddaughter, Riley Dennis; one brother; and two sisters.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland. Rev. R. Thomas Fralin, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in Ft. Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Maryland.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
