Lillian Belva Miller

Mrs. Lillian Belva Miller, 89, of Thurmont, passed from this life into her heavenly world Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, after a lengthly illness.

She was the wife of Richard Kemp Miller, who she married Oct. 16, 1954.

They resided in Vermont for many years and returned in 1996 to live in Thurmont for the rest of her life.

Lillian was the daughter of John Lee and Hattie Edith Ridenour Smith and was born April 19, 1919.

Lilliam was an animal lover and always enjoyed spending time with family and many friends. All those who knew her, thought she was a loveable little lady.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one brother, John Calvin Smith and his son and daughter-in-law, David and Patricia Smith; a sister, Edith Pearl Stockman and her son and daughter-in-law, Terrance and Patsy Stockman and their daughter Karen and husband James Smith of Pennsylvania.

She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews and many friends.

She will also be remembered by her good friends, John and Debby Davy of New Hampshire, Irene Wolfe and Betty Rosencrantz of Frederick.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Services: The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main St., Thurmont. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests all cards and any donations be sent to Mr. Miller of Stauffer Funeral Home, at the above address.
