Mrs. Lillian Lapp of Walkersville went home to be with our Lord on January 11, 2012, a few days prior to her hundred birthday.
Born in 1912 she was the wife of Claude Lapp (deceased) for 59 years; loving mother of Claude Lapp Jr. (deceased) and wife Ginny of Gaithersburg, MD; Ann Whitmore and husband Buddy of Cottonwood CA; Cassie Mobley and husband Ralph of Walkersville, MD; John Lapp (deceased) and wife Linda LaBlanc of Gaithersburg, MD; Tom Lapp and wife Glayds (deceased) of Cape Coral FL; Theresa Pusateri and husband Don of Germantown MD. Beloved grandmother to 23 grandchildren (1 deceased), 56 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren, Loving sister to Katherine McKenna of Kensington MD and special niece Joan Boswell of Kensington, MD..
She was a member of St Timothy Catholic Church in Walkersville for over 25 years where she sewed and embroidered names on baptismal bibs for the parish for numerous years. She enjoyed family gatherings, reading, crossword puzzles and sewing creating multiple wedding gowns, dresses, dolls, and slip covers for family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 3-5 & 7-9pm on Monday January 16, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Tuesday January 17, at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Road, Walkersville, MD., 21793. Reverend James Reusing will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring
