Lila Ann Roberts, of Gloucester, Virginia passed on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in the care of Hospice. She was surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Colonel (Ret) Kenneth A. Roberts, USAF.
As a military wife, she followed him from station to station while raising her three daughters. They retired in Gloucester, Virginia where they resided until his death. She received an A.A. degree in Business from Thomas Nelson Community College in Newport News. Lila loved gardening, sewing, quilting and working with children as a Reading Buddy in Gloucester County Public Schools. She also worked with children during Vacation Bible School as a member of the Gloucester Presbyterian church.
Having grown up on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, she had perfected the Maryland Crab cake.
Lila is survived by her daughters, Linda S. Roberts, Diane R. Floria and her husband, Bill, and Carole Brosnan. She is also survived by four grandsons, Justin Fouche, Patrick Brosnan, Kenny and Anthony Floria. She is survived by her two sisters, Joan Sellers of Stevensville, MD and Janet Yarborough of Memphis, Tennessee.
She will be interred with her husband in Gloucester Virginia at a later date.
