Mr. Lewis Leithauser,84 , of Frederick, MD passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Shirlee Leithauser for 60 years.
Born March 23, 1927 in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Lewis Joseph and Theresa Krein Leithauser.
Mr. Leithauser was an avid golfer. Lewis enjoyed traveling and exercise, especially running. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Nancy Dukes and husband William of Walkersville and Jeffrey Leithauser and wife Cecelia of Roscoe, IL; grandchildren Michael, Gillian, Kaitlin, Andrew, Jacob, Kylie and Derek; great-grandchildren Keira and Brian; sister Mary Lehmann of Baltimore and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9PM where a service will be held Thursday, January 26 at 11AM.
Interment will be private.
