Leonard G. "Lenny" Wilt, 48, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 22, 2014.
Born on May 4, 1965, in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania, he is the son of Delores A. (Beitzel) Brown and her husband William of Boonsboro, and the late David G. Wilt.
Lenny was a 1984 graduate from Boonsboro High School. He worked for 30 years as a Technician with Fitzgerald Auto Mall in Frederick.
He was a loving father who enjoyed spending time with his children. He is lovingly remembered for the time he fished for catfish with his son and daughter and he also enjoyed hunting. Lenny was a great drawer, a lover of milk, and he also was passionate about animals. He was a buddy to everyone and will always be remembered as a caring person.
In addition to his mother and step-father, he is survived by his wife, Lorrie A. (Haupt) Wilt; his son, Logen D. Wilt and his daughter Lexie B. Wilt, both living at home; his special nephew, Tyler A. McKenrick of Hagerstown; his father in law, Allan Haupt and wife Sandy of Boonsboro; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He will also be missed by his dog Ladey and his crazy cat J.J.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Rev. Jeff Summers will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery at San Mar.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the funeral home.
