Mr. Leonard Darryl Testerman, 48 of Frederick, died Friday, May 18, 2007. He was the husband for nearly 22 years of Charlene Braun Testerman.
Born in Bethesda, MD on November 28, 1958 he was the son of Ethel Mae Duvall Testerman of Jefferson and the late Paul Edward Testerman, Sr. Leonard was an owner and operator of long haul trucking for over thirty years.
Leonard was dedicated to his work and his family, but he especially loved the time he spent with his grandson Tristan.
Besides his wife and mother survivors include his daughter. Heather Thompson and husband Russell of Dickerson, MD; his grandson Tristan Thompson; a brother, Paul Testerman, Jr. and wife Debbie of Unionville, MD; three sisters, Debbie Daugherty of Jefferson, Diane Hahn and husband Bobbie of Brunswick, and Denise Guilday also of Jefferson; mother-in-law, Jan Braun of Palm Coast, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will also be remembered by his special friends; Ronnie Hawes and family, the O'Hare family, and Paul Morgan and family and many other special friends.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Timmy Testerman.
Visitation: The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Services: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 1:00 PM in the Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, 13356 Glissans Mill Road, Mt. Airy, MD with Rev. Bruce Weaver and Wallace Lusk officiating. Mr. Testerman will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery where Russell Thompson, Paul Testerman, Jr., Stevie Testerman, Ronnie Hawes, Owen O'Hare and Paul Morgan will serve as pallbearers.
