Leonard M. Karban, Sr., of Frederick, Maryland, died Friday, August 7, 2015 at College View Center in Frederick.
Born November 5, 1942 in Takoma Park, Maryland, he was the son of the late Donald M. and Constance N. Young Karban.
Leonard was a member of Olney Seventh-day Adventist Church.
For 35 years, he was employed by NIH as a grants specialist.
Leonard is survived by his former wife, Loretta C. Karban; his children, Lorraine C. Callahan, Leonard M. Karban, Jr. and Lloyd M. Karban all of Frederick; and his two grandchildren, Stephanie and Aden.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 2 – 7 p.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, August 10th at Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick. Pastor Nathan L. Krause will officiate. Burial will be held 12:30 p.m. Monday (following services) at Parklawn Memorial Park in Rockville, MD.
