Mrs. Leona ( Lee) Crout, 76, of Mt. Airy died on Saturday April 17, 2010 at her home. She was the wife of her best friend and husband the late John W. Crout who died April 7, 2000.
Born in Baltimore on November 11, 1933 she was the daughter of the late George W. and Ella M. Baker of Baltimore.
She was a member of the National Society of Decorative Painters, Chesapeake Bay Decorative Painters, Catoctin Colorfest Committee, American Legion Auxiliary Gold Star Post 191, VFW Auxiliary 10076 and Thimbleberries Quilting Club.
Survived by son Glenn W. Riley, step-daughters Robin Kark and Terri Jo Harshman, Grandchildren Jesse Riley, Will Riley, Brian Shipley, Angie Shipley, Katie Etzler, Mary Harshman, three great grandchildren. Sisters and brother, Dorothy DeHaven, Margaret Jimeson, Marian Mclaughlin and George W. Baker, Jr. Also survived by sister in law, Joan Hodgson of Hagerstown, MD and nephew, Douglas Jay Werdebaugh of Stuart, Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by son James F. Riley, Jr., grandson James F. Riley, 3rd, sister Elizabeth (Betty) Kendall.
Visitation: Friends may call on Friday April 23, from 6-8pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd, Mt. Airy.
Services: Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday April 24 in the funeral home chapel. Reverend Wallace Lusk will officiate. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
