Lenore "Shorty" Lasiter

Mrs. Lenore I. "Shorty" Lasiter, 101years old, of Frederick, MD, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015, at Northampton Manor. She was the wife of the late Elmer "Chief" Lasiter, Jr.
Born July 8, 1914, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Henry and Hattie Marshall Rice.
Lenore was a strong woman who tended her family as carefully as she did her beloved flowers and gardens.
She is survived by her daughters Joann Ramsburg and husband John of Frederick, and Janet Hartman of Frederick; grandchildren Roxanne Ramsburg, Michael Ramsburg, and Chanin Storm; five great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her brothers Garrett Rice, Ellis Rice, Delmus Rice, Ira Rice, and Merle Rice and sister Bertha Eaton.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 6-8 PM where a funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25 at 1PM. Pastor Paul Mundey will officiate.
Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
