Mrs. LeNora Stevens Sawchak, 77, of Frederick, MD (formerly of Scranton, PA), passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012. She was the wife of Peter Sawchak.
Born September 1, 1934 in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late William Jefferson and Susan Carino Stevens.
Mrs. Sawchak was a member of Calvary Assembly of God in Walkersville.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Mary Sawchak of South Carolina, Susan Kich of Scranton, PA, LeNora Walsh and husband Kevin of Factoryville, PA and Richard Sawchak and wife Jennifer of New Market, MD, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren, half-brother William Stevens and cousins Frank Esposito, Tucker Johns and Shirley Freeman. She was preceded in death by a son Peter Sawchak and three sisters.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville on Friday, January 13, from 6 – 8 pm. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 14, at 11am from Calvary Assembly of God, 8234 Woodsboro Pike, Walkersville, MD
Interment will be at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton, PA on Monday, January 16 at 2:00 pm
