Lelia Smith

Mrs. Lelia M. Smith, 86, of Maugansville, MD,went to be with the Lord, on Monday, December 2, 2019.

She was born on May 16, 1933, in Boonsboro, MD, to the late Samuel and Mildred  Flook of Myersville, MD.
She was a homemaker and of the Brethren faith.

Lelia is survived by her children; Gary Smith of Gerrardstown, WV; Kathy Jones and her husband, Ronald of Boonsboro, MD; Daughter-in-Law, Dottie Smith of Hagerstown, MD; Ricky Smith and his wife, Rebecca of Hagerstown, MD.  Also, she is survived by five grandchildren;  Maria Smith, Cindy Smith, Wayne Smith Jr., Shannon Smith, and Ryan Smith.  She is survived by great grandson, Shane Riley, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.  She is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Thomas and her husband, Richard of WV; Sharon Keedy and her husband, Robert of Hagerstown, MD; Phyllis St. Clair of Hagerstown, MD.  She is survived by two brothers, Earl Flook of Virginia Beach, VA; Robert Flook and his wife, Mary of Hagerstown, MD.
Lelia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald Smith; her son, Wayne Smith, her grandson, Jayme Jones; her sister, Rosalie Kline; her sister, Charlotte Renner; her nephew, Robert Keedy, Jr.; her sister-in-law and Jean Stotler.
The family will receive friends at Bast Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 10-11AM where a celebration of Lelia's life journey will take place at 11AM. Pastor Richard Rutherford, Jr. will officiate.

Interment will be at Beaver Creek Cemetery in  Hagerstown, Maryland.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Doctor Giffi and the Nurses at the John R. March Cancer Center for all of their kindness and care.
