Lee M. Sargent, 80, of Frederick, MD passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2007 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Shirley Sargent.
Born January 2, 1927 in Concord, New Hampshire, he was the son of the late Phillip and Hilda Sargent.
Mr. Sargent was a member of the Monocacy Valley Church in Ijamsville, MD
Lee was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire. He retired as a Physicist from the National Bureau of Standards after 30 plus years. He served in the United States Army from 1950-1952. He was a member and was once the Master of the Bow Mills New Hampshire Grange. Lee loved doing crossword puzzles.
In addition to his loving wife, Shirley, he is survived by a son, Michael Sargent of Hagerstown, two daughters, Laurel /Marrs and husband Tim of Frederick, MD and Anna Strobel of Mechancsville, MD, five grandchildren, Bonnie Marrs, Heather Marrs, Josh Marrs, Peter Marrs and Richard Stroble.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 from 6:00-9:00 PM.
Services:
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at 2:30 PM with Craig Moorman officiating.
Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
