Mr. Lawrence “Larry” I. Redmond, 73, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Autumn Assisted Living in Hagerstown. He was the loving husband of Diane Kettells Redmond, his wife of 52 years.
Born August 8, 1939 in Frederick, MD., he was the son of the late Irving F. and Ruth Hoffman Redmond.
Mr. Redmond was a member of the Hagerstown Seventh Day Adventist Church. Larry loved God, his family and friends. He had the blessed hope of looking forward to Christ’s soon return when he will be reunited with his loved ones in Heaven. He was loved tremendously and will be greatly missed. He was a farmer for 30 years in the Hagerstown area and in earlier years was an accountant at Hagerstown Rubber Co. and Grove Manufacturing. He was a classic car enthusiast and loved restoring classic cars and going to car shows. Larry enjoyed spending time out in nature and observing wildlife.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters Leah D. McClure and husband Warner of Cabot, VT and Joan L. Standish and husband Tim of Yucaipa, CA and a granddaughter Georgia L. Standish.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD, MD on Saturday, July 20, from 1:00 pm until service time at 2:00 pm Pastor Christopher L. Holland will officiate.
Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
