Laura Lillian Whittington

Mrs. Laura Lillian Whittington, 90, of Emmitsburg, Maryland died on Wednesday October 17, 2007 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the husband of the late Vaun Whittington of California.
She was born in 1916 in Topeka, Kansas. She was the daughter of the late Allen Hays and Glen Lillian Chick.
She spent most of her life in Torrance, California where she was a food services manager for the school district.
She is survived by her four children: son William Whittington and his wife Jill of Frederick, MD., daughter Glenda Drum and her husband James of Damariscotta, Maine, daughter Shelley Conrad and her husband James of Zenia, California, and son Richard Whittington of Oroville, California. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Mrs. Whittington was preceded in death by her brother Barnabas Allen Hays of Kansas and a granddaughter Teri Whittington of California.
She will be greatly missed by her friends at Lincoln on the Park in Emmitsburg, including Doris Joy and Jean Parks, also by her good friend Janet Cool of Fairfield, Pennsylvania.
