Laura Mae Kline, 92, of Hagerstown, Maryland passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016 at the Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown.
Born on August 21, 1923 at home in Park Head, Maryland, she is the daughter of the late Harry J. and Cealie (Reed) Trumpower.
She graduated from Clear Spring High School in 1942. That same year she went to work at Fairchild, where she met her husband, Marvin Luther Kline.
Laura and Marvin married in 1944, they had 61 wonderful years together before Marvin passed away in May of 2006.
She was a member of Saint Andrew's United Methodist Church. in hear early years, she was very active at the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church in Boonsboro.
She was the president of the United Methodist Women.
She and her husband were youth leaders for many years. Laura sang in the choir and she also had a girls' chorus.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Jennifer L. Jamison and husband Steve of Boonsboro; grandson, Keith A. Kline and wife Kelli of Lexington, Virginia; great-granddaughters, Halle and Abby Kline; sister, Lola V. Miller of Pectonville, Maryland; daughter-in-law, Cheryl A. Kline of Hagerstown; niece and close friend, Carolyn Kendall of Hagerstown.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Ronald C. Kline; brothers, Ernest W. Trumpower, Alonza V. Trumpower and Earl Trumpower; sisters, Daisy C. Pittman, Virgie C. Kline, Iva L. Andrews, Dorothy B. Hose.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 6, 2016, at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. The Rev. Joseph Donovan and the Rev. Michael Henning will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the funeral home.
