LaRue B. Smith

Mrs. LaRue B. Smith, 87, of Walkersville, MD., died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Ray Smith, her husband of 58 years.

Born May 18, 1922 in Pleasant Valley, MD., she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Laura Geiman Myers.

Mrs. Smith was a member of Maranatha Church of God where she was a greeter for many years. She loved taking care of her family, enjoyed watching the birds in her yard, walking, traveling and her flowers.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters Deborah E. Smith and Barbara L. Smith both of Baltimore, her brother Milo Myers, and sister Catherine Smith and husband Ralph.

Many nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Leroy and Harlan Myers and a sister Edith Swartzbaugh.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville on Friday, January 15, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9:00 p.m.

Services: Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 16, at 1:00 p.m. With Rev. Jerry Price officiating.
