Larry Lee Scott, 64, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, August 26, 2024 at Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick. He was the loving husband of Ann E. Scott.
Born on January 4, 1960, in Stuttgart, Germany, he was the son of the late Robert Scott and Marilyn (Strickland) Scott.
He served in the United States Air Force for seven years. Larry had a long career with the federal government, first with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and was currently employed as a Senior Software Engineer Project Manager with the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA).
He was kind and generous, and always there to help family and friends. He was always checking in to see how his kids were doing and if anyone needed anything. He truly would "give the shirt off his back" to anyone in need.
Larry was a fan of comic books, especially Superman. He loved to play video games with his wife, specifically Borderlands and Gears of War. Additionally, he was a huge Sci Fi fantasy fan and loved anything Star Trek, Godzilla, Dr. Who, Dragons, Fairies, and Angels.
His motto in life, which he instilled in his children, was that "Family takes care of Family".
In addition to his wife, Ann, he is survived by his children, Elizabeth Milstead, Amanda Dellagnello, Jeremy Scott, and Matthew Scott; grandchildren, Paige Dellagnello, Finnley Milstead, and Raina Milstead; and siblings, Linda Scott Rieth and Jeffrey Scott.
The family will receive friends from 12 -1 pm on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, with a celebration of life service to begin at 1 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association or St. Jude's.
