Lance Heiner
February 25, 1947 — January 20, 2019
Mr. Lance Hart Heiner, 71, of Walkersville died unexpectedly at home on Sunday, January 20, 2019. He was the husband of Michele K. Heiner for 45 years.
Born February 24, 1947 in California, PA, he was the son of the late Vaughn R. Heiner and Ruth (Hartman) Heiner.
He received his Bachelor's degree from California University of Pennsylvania, and his Master's of Education degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He was also a member of Sigma Tau Gamma.
Mr. Heiner was a middle school math teacher for over 30 years, 25 with the Loudoun County (Virginia) Public Schools.
He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, history, nature and being outdoors.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Aaron J. Heiner; daughter, Amanda R. Heiner; a sister, Cheryl Gerding; cousin, Brad Blum; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Mr. Heiner was predeceased by two brothers, Barry V. Heiner and Todd C. Heiner, and a sister, Ardis D. Lazar.
Services will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania.
