Kristine Neher Chaney

May 30, 1968 — January 13, 2016

Kristine Neher Chaney, 47, of Woodsboro MD, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2016, at her home surround by family. Kristine and Donald were married three years and shared thirteen years of love and commitment. On June 2, 2012, she was diagnosed with brain cancer. Kristine fought a good fight and kept the faith through January 13, 2016, the day of her eternal rest.

Kristine graduated from The University of Maryland in education, with honors at the top of her class in 1991. 1992 she went to work for Montgomery County Public Schools. Later, she received her Masters Degree in Education. She started at Beall Elementary, transferred to Earl B. Wood Elementary School in Rockville, Md. and then to Ridgeview Middle School in Quince Orchard,Md. where she retired due to her illness in March of 2013. Kris was a great educator who was loved by the staff and the students. Her ability to educate was a gift from God. Kristine loved teaching math and has made a difference in many children’s lives.

She is survived by her husband Donald, twin daughters Kayla (17) and Alyssa (17), son Brandon (8), her parents Michael & Aurora Neher, her Brother Kenny Neher, wife Chaniya, and their two Sons Alex and Nikolas, Sister Laura Neher Cavallaro,her Husband Joseph Cavallero III, their Daughter Gabriella, Sister Stephanie Neher and Derek Fried and their Son Broden Fried, Godson Alonzo Fisher, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Grandparents Henry and Aida Grosso, and Grandparents Glenn and Helen Neher. A Viewing will be held from 1:00-2:00pm and Memorial Service from 2:00-3:00 pm on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick MD.
